When your RV needs service, the last thing you want is confusion, delays, or surprises. You want to know what is going on, what it will take to fix it, and how soon you can get back on the road.
That is exactly how we handle things at The RV Doctor.
We keep the process simple. You call us, bring your RV in, and we take a careful look at what is going on. From there, we explain what we found, give you a clear estimate, and wait for your approval before we start the work.
We want you to feel informed the whole way through, because this is your RV, your time, and your adventure.

The first step is to give us a call.
We will ask what is happening with your RV, what you have noticed, and whether you have a trip coming up. That helps us understand the situation and make a plan that fits your needs.
Sometimes it is a leak. Sometimes it is an electrical issue, a slide problem, roof concern, or something that just does not feel right. Whatever it is, we will help you figure out the next step.

Once your appointment is scheduled, bring your RV to our Middletown shop at your drop-off time.
Before you bring it in, we ask that you remove valuables, personal items, food, and anything blocking the areas we need to inspect or repair. Please also make sure the black and gray tanks are empty before drop-off.
That helps our team get started faster and keeps your RV safe, clean, and ready for service.

After your RV is dropped off, our team will inspect the areas related to your service request. We’ll take the time to look over the issue, understand what may be causing it, and determine what needs to be done.
Once we have a clear picture, we’ll prepare an estimate and walk you through it. We’ll explain what we found, what we recommend, and why it matters.
When you bring your RV into our shop, there is typically no separate diagnostic charge just for us to look at the RV and prepare your estimate. However, some repairs require more extensive troubleshooting and may include a diagnostic charge. If that applies, we will always let you know upfront before moving forward.

Before any repair work begins, you review and approve the estimate.
We do not move forward with repairs, parts, or additional labor without your approval. If we find something unexpected once we get into the job, we will contact you first and explain your options.
There should never be mystery repairs or surprise charges. You deserve to know what is happening before decisions are made.

Once you approve the work, our technicians get started.
If you have a trip coming up, tell us as soon as you can. We will do our best to prioritize the work that matters most before you leave. In some cases, we may complete what we can before your trip and schedule the remaining work for after you return.
Our goal is to help you use your RV safely and confidently without leaving you stuck waiting longer than necessary.

You should not have to chase us down to find out what is happening with your RV.
We will keep you updated throughout the process, especially if we find additional issues, run into parts delays, need approval, or have a timing change. You will know where things stand and what comes next.
Clear communication is part of the job.
The RV Doctor works with all insurance companies and can help with many insurance-related RV repairs.
We commonly help with water damage claims, roof repairs or replacements, and other insurance-related repairs.
We do not handle accident claims, body work, paint work, fiberglass repairs, or manufacturer warranty work.
For warranty-related repairs, we’re happy to provide you with a paid invoice that you can submit to your warranty company for possible reimbursement. Payment is due directly to The RV Doctor once the work has been completed.
Because we are a small, family-run shop, we do not have the staffing to contact, track down, or follow up with warranty companies on your behalf. We do not submit warranty claims or invoices for you.
We only communicate directly with insurance companies. We do not work directly with any warranty companies or handle any warranty claims.
We will order the parts needed for your repair.
We do not install customer-provided parts. That is not because we are trying to make things difficult. It is because we need to know the parts are right for the RV, meet our standards, and allow us to stand behind the work we perform.
Whenever possible, we use OEM parts. If OEM parts are not available, we will talk with you about the best alternative before moving forward.
Some RV repairs involve sewage, waste lines, black tank issues, toilet waste lines, bodily fluids, or contaminated areas.
If The RV Doctor agrees to work on these areas, a sewage handling surcharge may apply.
We will let you know if that applies before moving forward.

A little preparation before drop-off helps us protect your RV and work more efficiently.
Before bringing your RV in, please make sure to:
Remove valuables, medications, electronics, important documents, firearms, fragile items, and personal belongings.
Remove food, drinks, trash, hazardous materials, chemicals, and anything that could cause odors, pests, mold, leaks, or damage.
Empty the refrigerator and freezer.
Empty the black water and gray water tanks.
Turn off propane unless we tell you otherwise.
Tell us about any leaks, noises, warning lights, damage, or concerns you want us to inspect.
The more we know up front, the better we can take care of your RV.

When the approved work is finished, we will let you know your RV is ready for pickup.
Payment is due when the work is complete and before the RV leaves the shop, unless another written arrangement has been made.
We ask that completed RVs be picked up within 5 business days after we notify you.
That helps us keep space available for other RV owners who are waiting for service.
You bought your RV to make memories, not to spend your time worrying about repairs.
At The RV Doctor, we take that seriously.
We are here to give you straight answers, quality work, and a process that feels clear from start to finish.
You handle the adventures.
We will handle the rest.
We’re the RV partner you didn’t know you needed... until now.
See you on the road: ready and confident.
