When your RV needs service, getting it to a shop is not always simple. Maybe your RV is parked at home, in storage, at a campground, or somewhere it cannot easily be moved.
That is where mobile RV service can help.
At The RV Doctor, our mobile service is designed to make the process as clear and convenient as possible. We come to the service location, inspect the issue, explain what we find, and let you know what needs to happen next.
We want you to feel informed from the first call to the final sign-off, because this is your RV, your time, and your adventure.

The first step is to give us a call.
We will ask what is happening with your RV, where it is located, what you have noticed, and whether you have a trip coming up. That helps us understand the situation and determine whether mobile service is the right fit.
Sometimes it is a leak. Sometimes it is an electrical issue, a refrigerator concern, a slide problem, a plumbing issue, or something that just does not feel right. Whatever it is, we will help you figure out the next step.

Before your technician arrives, we ask that your RV and the surrounding service area be ready.
Your RV should be parked in a safe, level, and accessible location with enough room around it for our technician to work safely. The work area should be clear of hazards, debris, mud, standing water, loose animals, poison ivy, poison oak, thorns, overgrowth, unsafe brush, or anything else that could make the job unsafe.
Please make sure we have access to the RV and any compartments, panels, controls, hookups, or systems we may need to inspect or service. If your RV is in a gated community, campground, storage facility, or private property, please be available to meet the technician at the gate or entrance if needed.
A customer or authorized adult MUST be present during the appointment to answer questions, approve additional work if needed, review the completed service, and sign off before the technician leaves.

Once our technician arrives, they will inspect the areas related to your service request.
We take the time to look over the issue, understand what may be causing it, and determine what needs to be done.
Our mobile service fee is $250 and includes travel plus up to 1 hour of diagnosis and/or repair time.
If the issue can be handled within that time, we will do our best to take care of it during the visit. If additional work, parts, labor, or troubleshooting are needed, we will explain what we found and provide an estimate before moving forward.
We will not add charges beyond the initial mobile service fee without your approval.

Before we move forward with additional repairs, parts, labor, diagnostics, or return visits, we will review the estimate with you.
We will explain what we found, what we recommend, and why it matters. If we uncover something unexpected, we will talk through your options before moving forward.
There should never be mystery repairs or surprise charges. You deserve to know what is happening before decisions are made.

Once you approve the work, our technician will complete what can be done during the mobile appointment.
Some repairs can be finished the same day. Others may require parts, additional troubleshooting, or a return visit. If parts need to be ordered and a return visit is needed, an additional visit fee may apply.
If you have a trip coming up, let us know as early as possible. We will do our best to prioritize the work that matters most so you can use your RV safely and confidently.

You should not have to wonder what is happening with your RV.
We will keep you informed throughout the mobile service process, especially if we find additional issues, need approval, run into parts delays, or need to schedule a return visit.
Clear communication is part of the job.
The RV Doctor can help with many insurance-related RV repairs and works with insurance companies when applicable.
We do not work directly with warranty companies or handle warranty claims.
For warranty-related repairs, we are happy to provide you with a paid invoice that you can submit to your warranty company for possible reimbursement. Payment is due directly to The RV Doctor once the work has been completed.
Because we are a small, family-run shop, we do not have the staffing to contact, track down, or follow up with warranty companies on your behalf. We do not submit warranty claims or invoices for you.
The RV Doctor cannot guarantee approval, coverage, payment, or reimbursement from a manufacturer warranty, extended warranty, service contract, insurance policy, or third-party provider.
We only communicate directly with insurance companies. We do not work directly with any warranty companies or handle any warranty claims.
The RV Doctor will order the parts needed for your repair.
We do not install customer-provided parts. That is not because we are trying to make things difficult. It is because we need to know the parts are right for the RV, meet our standards, and allow us to stand behind the work we perform.
Whenever possible, we use OEM parts. If OEM parts are not available, we will talk with you about the best alternative before moving forward.
Customers are responsible for all approved parts, materials, shipping, freight, supplier fees, taxes, and related charges.
Some RV repairs involve sewage, waste lines, black tank issues, toilet waste lines, bodily fluids, or contaminated areas.
If The RV Doctor agrees to work on these areas, a sewage handling surcharge may apply.
We will let you know if that applies before moving forward.

A little preparation before we arrive helps us protect your RV and work more efficiently.
Before your appointment, please make sure to:
Remove personal items away from the areas being serviced.
Empty the refrigerator and freezer if work involves the refrigerator, freezer, electrical system, or nearby access areas.
Empty the black and gray water tanks if service involves plumbing, tanks, sewer lines, toilet systems, waste valves, or related areas.
Secure pets and make sure the work area is free from loose animals.
Clear the area around the RV so our technician can work safely.
Tell us about any leaks, noises, warning lights, damage, or concerns you want us to inspect.
The more we know up front, the better we can take care of your RV.

Mobile service is a non-refundable $250 fee, which includes travel and up to 1 hour of diagnosis and/or repair time.
Payment is due when service is complete unless another written payment arrangement has been made.
You may pay by card, or you may choose our cash discount option. The RV Doctor does not accept checks.
In rare cases, we may require a deposit before ordering parts, scheduling additional work, or beginning service. Deposits are non-refundable once parts are ordered, materials are purchased, or work has started.
You bought your RV to make memories, not to spend your time worrying about repairs.
At The RV Doctor, we take that seriously.
Our mobile RV service is here to make repairs feel clearer, easier, and less stressful when bringing your RV to the shop is not the best option.
You handle the adventures.
We will handle the rest.
We’re the RV partner you didn’t know you needed... until now.
See you on the road: ready and confident.
